What the terms mean
A cookie is a small item of information stored by a browser and commonly sent with later requests to the relevant website. LocalStorage is browser storage that a script can read on later visits; it is not automatically sent with every request. Both can be used for preferences or other functions, but neither is necessary for the appliance guides or the local message tool implemented here.
The notebook's own features
| Feature | How it works | Persistence |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation | Opens or closes a menu in the current page | No saved preference |
| Scroll reveals | Observes panel visibility in the current page | No browsing record saved |
| Message preview | Formats entered text in page memory | No cookie or localStorage entry |
| Copy | Writes text to the clipboard after your action | Controlled by your device |
| Download | Creates a local text file after your action | Remains until you delete it |
The site's own code includes no advertising cookies, analytics cookies, third-party tracking scripts or embedded third-party media. It does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. Ordinary browser caching can still keep copies of public page files to improve loading.
Hosting and consent controls
Hosting or delivery infrastructure can add functionality outside the static page code. If a separate consent control is displayed by the hosting platform, its notice should identify any storage it uses, the purpose and duration, and how to change your choice. A saved consent preference may use a cookie or localStorage; that is separate from a message draft.
Choosing an acceptance option does not cause this notebook's own scripts to start analytics or advertising. No such optional services are included here. Any later addition of non-essential tracking should be described in this notice and controlled in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Changing browser settings
You can review and delete cookies and site data through your browser's privacy settings. Clearing site data can remove preferences stored by any platform-level controls, so a notice may appear again. Blocking storage should not prevent the static guides from being read or the local message text from being prepared.
Deleting site data does not necessarily clear downloaded files, clipboard history or copies held by an email provider. Manage those through your device or the relevant service. Browser form restoration can also preserve text independently of the website's scripts.
External sites and questions
Reference links open independent websites that may use their own cookies and storage. Their policies apply when you visit them. For broader information about technical requests and email correspondence, read our Privacy notice.
Questions about this notice can be sent to [email protected]. If the site's features change, the storage description should be updated to match the actual implementation.
